Dr. Saroar Alam (Nahid) is working as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at President Abdul Hamid Medical College, Kishoreganj and as a consultant surgeon in department of ophthalmology at Abdul Hamid Foundation Hospital, Keraniganj, Dhaka. He is in private practice at Hikmah Eye Hospital.

He has done more than 15,000 (fifteen thousand) of cataract surgery both SICS and phaco last 4 years,
